I seriously had to see the movie twice not that i lacked understanding in comprehending the genius of the project but for want and better appreciation. Starting on a high note, the first act of the movie introduced us to the characters that framed the entire story ark, with no stones left on-turned from the special effects and the use of light and sound, sending chills down my spine.

Alot darker than the miniseries, the movie explored major themes of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and bullying without missing out on the central focus and horrific element.

Each character well and fully developed with special attention to detail from the props, costumes and lines… it’s no wonder IT as seen is just the chapter one. kudos to the young actors for a wonderful performance. I can hardly wait to see a prequel, spinning or sequel to the movie or a stand alone versions shading light on the character of Penny wise the dancing clown or the other underlining stories within the major story arch.

For me i’d rate it 8/10

IT reminded me of my childhood and what it means to be truely afraid IT was truely an Experience
